Class Descriptions

Functional HIIT: This class is based around the theory of functional fitness with a mix of HIIT and Explosive movements. All Classes occur around the Synergy Machine in the wellness center and involve a large variety of different movements.

Zumba: Latin rhythms, easy to follow moves. A fun NEW cardio workout!

Yoga: Yoga is a workout and more! Doing yoga regularly can enhance your health and fitness by improving muscular endurance, strength and flexibility.

Slow Flo: Provides poses that range from gentle to challenging. The pace of this class is understandably slower and emphasis is placed on safe alignment and the maintaining balance of the slow breathing. Expect silent periods of reflection and static holding during each pose. The toned-down speed of this class does not mean that the poses are any less beneficial.

Chair Yoga: is a gentle form of yoga that is practiced sitting on a chair, or standing using a chair for support. It is in the process of being recognized formally as a type of yoga distinct from other types, such as Iyengar Yoga or Ashtanga yoga.

Beginners Yoga: A slower-paced flow through sun salutations and standing postures, geared towards those new to yoga or preferring a gentler practice. Followed with the passive long holds of yin to target joints, connective tissues, and fascia.

Pilates: This class is designed to strengthen your lower back + abdominals. Basic exercises are taught with a systematic breathing pattern to help create a long, lean body and good posture.

Fat Burn: A combination of aerobics, step aerobics, and body sculpting

Low Impact Circuit: Low impact aerobics and strength training using balls, bands, and weights. Good for all fitness levels.

TRX Cardio: A mix of functional TRX exercises mixed with cardio drills and machines. Learn and enjoy everything you would from a TRX class and the cardio burn from a HIIT class.

Functional Fit Club: Our fitness for life program that will have you pushing the limits and moving better then you have in years. It will help you tone up while reestablishing health range of motion and creating a stronger healthier you. * Fee Based

Y Fit Club: Our members may choose a Boot Camp style workout in the basketball court or a workout in the wellness center. Both will include Cardio, strength training, core and stretch. Boot Camp style will be more of your own body for Cardio and free weights for strength, the Wellness Center would incorporate Cardio machines and weight circuits for strength. Zumba Gold: is for active older adults who are looking for a modified Zumba class that recreates the original moves you love at a lower-intensity.

Boot Camp: It’s a surprise! Instructor holds many certifications. Be prepared for a great workout that changes weekly.

Barre: A dancer’s workout without the pounding of a dancer’s class. A toned-down dancers class to get the body of a dancer without putting the same amount of stress on the joints.
