Preschool Program
The Greater Lowell Family YMCA Preschool offers exceptional care for children ages 2.9-5 years. Our program is certified by the Department of Early Ed and Care. It is designed to create an environment that both stimulates and strengthens each child’s  development. We foster curiosity, creativity and confidence in each child with curriculum that is designed to build social skills, independence and a love for learning. Through careful observation, documentation, thoughtful questions and deep reflections, our teachers work in partnership with the children to extend thinking, develop explorations and build social-emotional skills.

Registration
All families must complete a registration packet for each child. This packet must be submitted with all required documentation before a child can start attending.

Payments
Payments can be processed at the Greater Lowell YMCA or online. The Y accepts cash, checks or credit/debit cards. Please write your child’s name on your check. Payments are due the Friday before the week of care.
Financial assistance is available for families who qualify.  You must complete a financial assistance application and submit all required documentation to apply.
The Greater Lowell YMCA does accept vouchers. EEC voucher forms need to be completed and submitted with your registration packet. Please contact our childcare billing department with questions or for assistance at 978-454-7825 ext 827.

Winter Weather Policy

CChildcare programs will attempt to offer a full day of care for closures that will begin at 9:00 AM unless a “State of Emergency” has been declared.

Lowell Public Schools Delayed One Hour: YMCA Childcare will open at 8am.

Lowell Public Schools Delayed Two Hour: YMCA Childcare will open at 9am.

Schedules and Fees

Full Day 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM (Maximum of 10 hours per day and drop off is no later than 9:00 AM)
Half Day 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM (Drop off is no later than 9:00 AM and pick-up no later than 12:00 PM)
