Tewksbury Day Camps

Tewksbury Day Camps are being held at the Anthony John Rosano Recreation Center for children ages 7-13. This summer program includes sports, arts and crafts, games, and other activities available at the Recreation Centers facilities that incorporate the YMCA’s core values of Honesty, Respect, Caring and Responsibility.

Registration

To register your child for Tewksbury Day Camps you will need to complete registration online and submit a recent physical (no older than February 28, 2023 and immunization record.  

Program Dates 2024

Traditional Camp: July 8th -July 12th
Basketball Camp: July 15th -July 19th
All Sports Camp: July 22nd -July 26th
Traditional Camp: July 29th -Aug 2nd
All Sports Camp: Aug 5th -Aug 9th 

Registration Deadlines  

Registrations must be submitted by the Wednesday prior to the start of the camp week you are registering for.

Payment Policies

  • Payments are due at the time of registration.

 

Session Changes/Cancellations Policies

  • Cancellations must be submitted in writing to Tewksburyprograms@lowellymca.org; Emails received after camp hours on Friday will not be considered until Monday.
  • Weekly fees are non-refundable & may not be transferable if cancellation is within two weeks. A $50 cancellation fee will apply.
  • Refunds will only be made in the case of a documented illness of the camper or death of an immediate family member.
  • No refunds will be issued for absences or inclement weather.

Where is the program located?
Tewksbury Recreation Center – 286 Livingston Street, Tewksbury, MA 01876

Is there transportation?
No, parents must drop off and pick up at the site.

What are the program times?
TDC runs Monday through Friday from 8:00am until 4:00pm.

Is lunch provided?
No. Children must bring a lunch with them each day. Lunches and snacks must be peanut free. Staff are not able to heat up lunches for children.

What activities are offered?
Arts/crafts, games, outdoor playground, splash pad, sports. Activities will vary based on the camp week.

How much does it cost?
$225 per week per child.

Is there a sibling discount?
No.

Is there financial aid?
Yes, there is a financial aid application that can be downloaded, completed and submitted to tewksburyprograms@lowellymca.org

Do you accept vouchers?
No.

When does registration start?
May 31, 2024

What do I need to register?
A recent physical (no older than February 28, 2023), immunization record, and camp fees.

 

What To Bring

Things to Bring Everyday:

  1. Lunch (NUT FREE and NO HEAT UP LUNCHES). Be sure to pack ice packs for those lunches requiring refrigeration.
  2. Water bottles
  3. Sneakers
  4. Bathing suit and towel must be provided so that your child can participate in water activities. Girls must wear one-piece bathing suits.
  5. Waterproof sunscreen.
  6. Backpack (Preferably with a change of clothing).
  7. Lifesaving Medications (inhalers, epi-pens, etc.). All medications your child needs daily or in an emergency case MUST be registered with the Camp Coordinator prior to your child’s start of camp. Medications must be in their original packaging and have prescription labels on them. 

 

Things to Leave at Home:

  1. All expensive items or those of great value (Electronics including cell phones & tablets, money, jewelry, toys). Cell phone use during camp hours is prohibited. Any child caught using a cell phone while at camp will have cell phone taken and locked up in Directors Office until the parent can come and pick up the phone. Repeated offenses could result in suspension of care.
  2. Absolutely no weapons including toy weapons such as guns or swords.
  3. Illegal Substances.
  4. Anything that has nuts.
